Description:
Recognition for significant accomplishments within the professional field of Family and Consumer Sciences Education.
Criteria for Outstanding FCS Teacher:
- Certified FCS teacher.
- Demonstrates outstanding teaching in the classroom.
- Supports NMSU FCSE program (either through recruiting, supporting student teachers, allowing observations, etc.).
- Active FCCLA or ProStart chapter advisor/sponsor.
- Contributes to the profession through membership in professional organizations and service to the profession.
Nominations:
FCSE faculty will submit a letter to the FCS Department Head describing the performance and qualities of the nominee warranting the award. Supporting evidence is welcome, but not required.
Recipient will receive:
Framed certificate.

Nomination may be submitted by email or paper, but only supporting documents included in the original nomination will be considered.
