Description:

At least one (1) Undergraduate student AND one (1) graduate student from each department will be accepted.

To be eligible for nomination, the student must:

(a) be an undergraduate senior graduating in the semester for which they are being nominated; a graduate student graduating in the semester in which they are being nominated.

(b) have an overall grade point of 3.0 or better;

(c) active participation in department, college, university, or community activities;

Nomination Deadlines:

Mid-April for spring awards - Mid-November for fall awards.

Nominations: Any departmental faculty and staff may nominate the candidates for the award and submit through the appropriate academic department head. 

• NO nomination forms are needed, email ONLY the Name, Major, Department and Aggie ID per nominee for this nomination
  • Departments are encouraged to present these Departmental Outstanding Student Awards during their individual departmental graduation ceremonies. These students will all be included in the Sam Steel Legacy Celebration program.
